“I was introduced to my future husband by email, met him for the first time on Skype and married him two months later,” says Divya.
Divya got married two years ago to a match arranged by her father’s friend. According to her even though an arranged marriage doesn’t sound like the most romantic thing in the world, it’s the best decision she has made in her life.
“I went up to kiss him, but he turned away!” says Sheetal. “Boy, was I flushing with embarrassment?”
“I’d been out on a date with this guy for the first time. It had been a very romantic evening. But on my way back home, I kept wondering if I had got the wrong vibe.” Another juicy episode of kiss & tell in our MyStory slot.

I'd met this really cool guy at a lecture in university. We'd exchanged numbers and a week later he'd called asking if I’d like to have dinner with him. I was elated! I’d been waiting for his call all week – of course I said yes.
So we met for a dinner date at a very cosy restaurant. We chatted a lot and got along very well. It seemed like we spoke about everything under the sun – family, sports, politics, culture, nature and what not.
After dinner, we went for a romantic walk under the moonlight. We found a nice spot and stared at the stars in the sky. We spoke about our past life and loves. We then decided to get a few beers at a local bar. It all seemed quite smooth and special.
The evening had gone well and it was time to say goodbye. We stood there facing each other and he looked deep into my eyes. I went up to kiss him but he turned away and I ended up landing a peck on his cheek!
He had deliberately missed the kiss. I was flushing with embarrassment. I rushed the goodbye. I wanted to get out of his sight. Wanted to disappear into thin air, never to be seen again! On my way back home I kept wondering if I had read the clues wrong.
The missed kiss sequence kept playing back and forth in my head. I had a million questions. Why did he shy away? Why didn’t he want to kiss me? Did he never have any intentions of kissing me? Did he not find me attractive? Had I lost the vital skill of reading sexual vibes? Did I suffer from bad breath?
On my personal scale of embarrassing moments, this one ranked quite high. I buried my head deep under the pillow and welcomed a sleepless night with arms wide open.
